Chartered in 1962, the Hawai`i
Psychological Association (HPA) is
the professional association
representing over 300 Hawai`i
psychologists. Its mission is to
advance the science and practice of
psychology while supporting
excellence in education, training,
research, advocacy and service.
HPA seeks to strengthen public
relations, influence legislation,
develop solutions for mental health
care, be responsive to the multiple
cultures in Hawaii, promote the
highest standards of professional
ethics, and to diffuse psychological
knowledge through meetings,
conventions and publications.
HPA's parent group, the
American Psychological Association,
has an active membership of over
86,000, making it one of the largest
professional associations in the
United States.

life for the people of Hawaii by

Psychology in all its branches.
